My name is Lukman Aliyu, a pharmacist and data scientist passionate about applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to healthcare. I currently work in healthcare logistics at Zipline, focusing on data-driven solutions to improve medical supply delivery across Africa.

I’m excited to join the OHDSI community to learn from and contribute to its global efforts in real-world evidence generation, health data standards, and open science collaboration. I look forward to engaging in discussions, sharing ideas, and exploring opportunities for impactful research.

We are a company based in Denmark working with healthcare systems.

I have been following the OHDSI project for about 5 years and have been directly working with the stack for about 1 year so I thought it was about time to come on the forum.

I am a (part time/mature) researcher at the University of Wales Trinity St. David, My research topic is a comparative analysis of the information content in different healthcare information representations (FHIR/HL7, IHE, CDA, openEHR …). I am focusing on detailed analysis using Shannon Information and using large language model type embeddings as geometric analytical spaces. Coding standards like SNOMET CT and LOINC are not currently in my scope for analysis, but they do help me discriminate what is data and what is meta-data or simply syntax in the healthcare information representative formats.

I am also an independent healthcare information consultant working in the interoperability space (with a particular expertise in imaging – DICOM etc). I work in the data architecture space providing both technical and business advice, mainly to healthcare providers. I have worked internationally but now focus more on the UK, then NHS and my home market.

I am looking forward to sharing with and learning from colleagues in this data oriented space.

Hi everyone, I’m Jasmine.

I just became a part of OHDSI. I am a recent graduate of Data Science M.S. with Health Data Science and Data Curation certificates. I am applying for jobs and also plan to apply for PhD related to Public Health Policy. I already have thesis all planned out about post-mortem health data which I am very excited to learn more about.

It’s actually took a long time for me to realize what I want to do, but it all started from my interest in law, policy, and regulations. I went through IST major and CS minor for better financial and status in the US for my undergrad and met Data Science for my M.S. program. It took only one paper with a partner for a course to find my final and specific interest which got me here.

Even if I am a recent graduate, I would like to identify myself as a health data scientist since I am learning about issues related to health data everyday and trying to come up with new ideas that might resolve those issues.

I am excited to be part of OHDSI but also to include what I learn from here to my thesis or my life.
