@Christian_Reich @aostropolets @trinklek

We are meeting this Wednesday to review what @trinklek’s team has put together in the past few weeks, and plan for the release, but I got a conflict with another meeting. Any chance to start with an hour delay at 11am ET? Please let me know if does not work well for you.

Thanks!

@abedtash_hamed I have a conflict with an all day seminar this week, but I confirmed with @callahantiff and the students that they can make it. @callahantiff may need to drop off half way through, but I think that is fine. I can have the team update me later.

@trinklek: Great! I’ll send the updated invite. I should also thank you and your team for the wonderful work you did on corticosteroids and cardiovascular classes. Well done!

Meeting Minutes (November 14, 2019)

Attendees:
Anna, Hamed

  • A comprehensive relationship set will be provided for each ATC class to RxNorm. So, we will explicitly identify “valid” concepts in RxNorm that can be related to ATC classes. The user will not be allowed to extrapolate the relationships through concept ancestry.
  • Regarding “ingredient” concepts: We will have 2 types of relationships between one ATC class and corresponding ingredient concepts: 1) “Mapped to Standard concept” indicating the ingredient concept is a standard concept for the ATC class because there is no differentiating factors involved. 2) “Contains ingredient” (something similar-not finalized yet, it may change later) indicating that the product under the ATC class has the corresponding ingredients. This relationship should not be used for ETL-ing the data.
  • Regarding “indication”: We are not providing relationships to indications for now.
  • Regarding “dose form”: We are not providing relationships to indications for now.

We are collecting time availability in 2020 to set up a new “monthly” meeting series. We will be mainly working on documenting the pipeline and user guides, and refining the mappings.
