what‘s the difference between procedure（domain） and measurement(domain) in OMOP vocabulary？When mapping terms, always confuse of which domain to choose. Is there a specific list for each domain? Thanks a lot.
All laboratory tests (with precisely defined scale and methodology) or survey results are of course Measurements. However, not everywhere the result is straightforward.
The general rule of thumb is if a medical procedure is performed with intent solely to obtain a single value by standardized approach, it is considered Measurement. Everything else, including procedures that produce images (X-Ray) or graphs (ECG) that need additional interpretation, belongs to Procedure domain.
Unfortunately, not everything in our vocabularies conforms to this rule at the moment. If you find concepts that have wrong Domain assigned to them, please report them to us either on Github or here on the forum.
