Recently, I have been working on integrating the data of the nationwide trauma registry called Korean Trauma DB into OMOP CDM.
However, I couldn’t find a suitable concept for the things below:
ICU Length of stay(days)
Hospital Length of stay(days)
Ventilator Use(days)
As a temporary solution, I inserted records in the visit _occurrence domain and then calculated the length_of_stay using the start_date and end_date.
However, the observation_domain seems adequate.
What would be the best way to handle the above case?
And can’t we make a new official concept to express LOS or ventilator use days?
