Welcome New Collaborators

Thank you to the many new collaborators who have introduced yourselves on the forum recently. We are happy to see so many new people hoping to Join the Journey with OHDSI and collaborate in the generation of real-world evidence that promotes better health decisions and better care.

As our community has dug deep in generating and executing studies to inform the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we also realize we have been slower in reaching out to new collaborators. We apologize for that, and we will work harder to connect with you and welcome you into our community during such an important and challenging time for all of us.

We also wanted to share some ways for you to connect more with our network. Every Tuesday (12 pm ET), we hold community calls that include weekly updates and collaborator presentations. This is a great way for newcomers to introduce them and share a bit about why they are interested in OHDSI. We do these weekly over Zoom; please use this link to join: https://columbiacuimc.zoom.us/j/945377669.

The forums are also a terrific place to search for questions and discussions that may connect with your particular interests. Please join in discussions, start your own thread, or reach out to tagged names who seem to share similar interests.

If you are curious about the work going on around COVID-19, we are posting regular updates here: https://www.ohdsi.org/covid-19-updates/. We are very excited about the ongoing work in this area, including a preprint of the largest safety profile ever done on hydroxychloroquine.

Again, thank you for reaching out to OHDSI, and we hope to collaborate with you soon.
