UCUM invalid unit for pH -> should be [pH]

I am building a software package for cleaning and standardizing clinical laboratory units, leveraging UCUM units. While trying to make use of the list of standard UCUM units in CDM, I found out that there is one invalid ucum code considered as a valid standard code in the CDM (Athena). The code is now “pH”, while this is a ucum code for photometric unit of illuminance. According to UCUM, the log concentration of H+ should be written like this “[pH]” with square brackets.
Please use this link to validate this UCUM-LHC Demo

Could you please correct this code?
I also find some degree of mismatch between the codes identified by CDM as standard concepts and the ucum-valid units mostly used in practice. I would be happy to discuss this with someone maintining the UCUM vocabulary?

Hi @Ahmed-Medhat-Zayed:

Welcome to the family.

Yes, there are some questionable UCUM codes in the Vocabularies. It was put in way back where there wasn’t much more than Gunter’s description and some odd example tables.

What are these?

Hi @Ahmed-Medhat-Zayed

It seems to be a good opportunity for the vocabulary improvement using the Community Contribution initiative. If you have a list of such codes, you are welcome to create a GitHub issue where we can discuss what kind of contribution it can be.

Best,
Masha

Many thanks, Christian and Masha for your responses. I have just created a Github issue with 120 unit concepts that need correction along with proposed valid units.
