Going from an April 2015 to November 2015 vocabulary release over one third of the NDC codes (248,611 of 676,286 total NDC records) have be marked as deprecated. Maybe it was a long overdue cleanup, but I do not remember seeing an explanation. Is this large number of deprecated NDCs expected?
They are all ok. Deprecated in NDC means they are no longer active codes used by the manufacturer. But nothing wrong with them. Map them using the mapping tables as always.
