On October 13, 2014 we held our very first Architecture working group meeting. Over the past 4 years we have accomplished many of our goals and arrived where we are today; a diverse community pursuing a variety of innovations to improve our ability to generate evidence through observational research. It has been an amazing journey. Not that its over… but, we have decided to make some changes.
As Anthony Sena announced last week he will now be running a WebAPI / ATLAS specific working group. (Atlas & WebAPI Working Group) . This meeting will cover a majority of the content that was previously covered in the Architecture working group.
Going forward our plan is to restructure the Architecture working group to focus on the coordination of different working groups and their activities as they align with delivering incremental and disruptive updates to the overall architecture. Our intent is to have representatives from each working group participate in a quarterly meeting to discuss their roadmaps and ensure we are in alignment on timing and direction.
I have already started communicating with several of the working group leads and hope to have our first session sometime before the symposium. Thanks to everyone for their participation in the past and continued efforts going forward.
Thanks,
Frank
