Regarding datasets

hi everyone,
i am entirely new to big data analytics. want to do some research work in healthcare analytics…
but unfortunately i am unable to get a good start…from where to get the data sets to work on…most of the papers i have gone through has got data from respective hospitals (funded projects).
your suggestions will be highly appreciable.

Thanks

@sanya: Its very difficult to get hospital data without being already affiliated with a particular institution. There are some datasets that are more open, e.g., the mimic dataset: https://mimic.physionet.org/. You might also want to look into some data challenges that use clinical data. For example, https://challenge.nejm.org/pages/home
However, some of these datasets also require IRB approval, which may be a limiting step for you. I suggest start looking into the mimic dataset and then go from there. Be aware that they may have data use agreement forms to complete as well.

Happy coding!

thanks @Mary_Regina_Boland
