I am conducting research on prescribed opioids. In the drug exposure dataset, if the standard_concept_name shows as, for example, fentanyl and its quantity prescribed is shown. Since the standard_concept_name does not show the actual amount of fentanyl in it, how to calculate the actual amount of fentanyl prescribed? It is the same for morphine, oxcycodone, etc.
When they have the actual amount in it, like 72 hr release fentanyl 0.075mg/hr transdermal system, it is easy to calculate the total amount.
