Putting together the OHDSI stack today: Use CDM 5 or 6?

Hello everybody,

As I mentioned in the introduction in another thread, I am interested in putting together the OHDSI software on my computer on my own, without the use of docker or AWS images.

I saw references here and there about an ongoing transition to CDM models v6. When looking to deploy software today, should I look for stuff for v6, or it is too early to do so, and try to stick to v5 instead?

Hello @shabiel,

Given that you want to use OHDSI tools to explore the data, the short answer would probably be ‘use v5.3.1, for now’. CDM v6 support is still work in progress, at least for ATLAS.
