Target clinical description
Colorectal cancer is potentially curable through surgery, including resections of the segemtn of the large intestine where the tumor is located, or in smaller cancer even local resections.

Differential diagnosis

Prognosis following curative surgery
If the curative intended surgery is successfull, the prognosis is generally favorable, however it worsens with later stages. More extensive surgery is associated with postoperative complications which affects mortality and health related quality of life.
