Opportunity to get access to data for research from RWJF

I came across an open funding opportunity from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where they are providing grants and access to patient-level data from HCCI or AthenaHealth to conduct observational research. The link is here: http://www.rwjf.org/en/library/funding-opportunities/2017/health-data-for-action.html

The preliminary 4-page proposal is due May 24, so sorry for the short notice for those who are interested.

I don’t know any specifics beside what is on their website and having watched their webinar, but I know a regular topic of discussion within the OHDSI community is how do folks without direct data access engage and get supported, and this seems like a neat opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

I remember looking at this with a Fellow. Our take was that access is limited to logging in to a site and working with data there (which would be provided as custom extract). So we decided not to pursue. This info predates their Webinar so could have changed.

I had come to the same conclusion. If anyone hears otherwise please do let
us know.

Cheers
David
