OMOP V5 SNOMED term truncation

Hey All!

I requested a download from ATHENA for V5 omop including SNOMED. I noticed that there were several concepts in SNOMED just called “Deep” for “clinical finding.” In particular concept_id 4160913 and 4188647. These are snomed concept codes 373202006 and 373203001 respectively. Using http://browser.ihtsdotools.org/ if I look up those two codes I get:

Deep (radial) surgical margin involvement by tumor present (colon/rectum) (finding)

And

Deep (radial) surgical margin not involved by tumor (colon/rectum) (finding)

It looks like Athena is somewhere truncating everything after the first open paren. I do see other concept_name values in the concept table for SNOMED with open and closed parens, so am not sure why these particular values got messed up. Maybe (radial) is a restricted term in the language used to create the OMOP files for Athena?

@blm14:

Yes, you found a bug, here. I’ll put it on the list to be fixed. Next release. Thanks a lot. Keep bringing it on.
