March 2025 Evidence Network Meeting

We have our next meeting this Thursday, March 13th at 10:30am EST. We are in “March to Data Fitness” so this month will be discussing how we will using the Evidence Network to support the Guidance Driven Evidence studies with a focus on fitness for use.

Summary of OHDSI Evidence Network Meeting

The meeting focused on ongoing efforts in the OHDSI community related to guideline-driven evidence and the role of the OHDSI Evidence Network in supporting data assessment and fitness for use. The discussion centered on improving data partner engagement by connecting them with study leads whose research aligns with their datasets.

  • Data Relevance & Partner Identification: Emphasis on linking data partners with studies they are best suited to support.
  • Current Studies & Industry Collaboration: Updates on the 14 studies underway in the community this year, including an upcoming industry-sponsored studyathon hosted by Gilead in Parsippany, NJ. The event aims to demonstrate the value of OHDSI methods and encourage industry engagement.
  • Guidance-Driven Evidence Studies: Explanation of the data fitness assessment process to determine which databases are suitable for specific studies.
  • Technical Readiness Testing: A forthcoming test package for data partners using the Strategus tool to ensure their systems are ready for participation in network studies.
  • Communication & Study Participation: Plans for improving coordination between study leads and data partners through streamlined communication channels and OHDSI.org email accounts.
