I would like to map LOINC to SNOMED codes and was interested to see https://loincsnomed.org/ - however when looking at the documentation it wasn’t apparent to me if this is possible. Has anyone done this and can provide instructions on what tables / columns to use? It wasn’t clear what the key was to map between concepts or if I need to pay for a SNOMED CT licence. I have tried to register to ask this question on their forum, but am still waiting to get my account accepted.
We have been using these files within the vocab team to construct the LOINC - SNOMED hierarchy. It’s not the same as mapping one to another, but hierarchical relationships can help in building mappings. The part with loincsnomed is here. It’s not very self-explanatory, so if you could specify your question, we’d be happy to answer it. Also the official documentation helps a lot.
Good news - you don’t need to pay for a SNOMED license as long as you comply with the fairly standard rules (eg you’re not reselling SNOMED).
