Please join us for our holiday-themed final community call of 2021 on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 11 am ET. This was one of our most popular calls of last year, and we have some fun surprises planned for this call.
OUR PART: If we told you, they wouldn’t be surprises.
YOUR PART: We would love for as many community members as possible to join us in celebrating the gifts given to OHDSI in 2021. Here’s how this will work:
• Following our updates and some fun, we will open the floor to all of you to thank ONE PERSON (two if it is an absolute collaboration, but no full teams) for something they provided in 2021. Maybe it was something they did for you individually, maybe it was something they did for the full community … either way, this is the chance for them to be recognized for their “gift.”
• Anybody who wants to take part can raise their hands in Teams, and we’ll go through the list. Once somebody is thanked, however, they can’t be thanked again! We are spreading the love around, so please have a couple people ready, just in case (there were more than enough contributions to OHDSI this year that can be recognized). This should be a fun exercise … who doesn’t like thinking about ways others helped out?
• Once you thank somebody, you can’t come back and thank somebody else. We want to maximize community participation. Speaking of that …
• If you are new to the community (maybe you’ve rarely or never spoken on these calls), we would really love to hear from you this Tuesday. Who helped you get started on your journey? Who helped guide you to a more comfortable place?
The goal is to get a minimum of 21 gifts to wrap up a memorable 2021 for our community (but we’re aiming for many more than that!). Please join us, have some fun, and close out the year by sharing the amazing spirit that has driven our community through a challenging, but also highly rewarding, year.
Many of you will have the calendar link in your OHDSI Teams environment. If not, you will need the specific meeting link to access the community call; it will also be posted in the main OHDSI Teams environment. As always, if you can’t make it, the recordings will be posted to both our Community Calls page and the General OHDSI Teams recordings folder.
