Is "Non-Hospital Institutional Visits" inpatient or outpatient, or both?

Hello!
It seems “Long Term Care visits” was renamed to “Non-Hospital Institutional Visits”. By name, it is a visit happened at a non-hospital facility. So would it include both inpatient and outpatient visits?

Thank you!

Hi @Mandy.Smith.

Welcome to the family.

Please find the definitions of the Visits in the CDM page for that table. So, it is neither an in nor an outpatient visit. The attributes are institution dedicated for people of poor health, for a long time or permanently, and no physician but maybe a nurse available 24/7. Different countries call them different things, but essentially we are talking about nursing homes or hospices.
