Is anyone planning to attend MedInfo in Brazil, Aug19-23?

Team:

I was thinking about putting together a submission for MedInfo, and wanted to see if other OHDSI collaborators were panning to be there and would be interested in partnering on a submission.

@hripcsa led a nice OHDSI overview paper which was submitted by the Full Paper deadline, so is hoping to be there. I believe @jon_duke is looking to go as well.

We still have another 4 days before the deadline for submissions of Panel, Workshop, Tutorial or Demo, each of which require a 3-page submission. I was thinking it could be a good opportunity to introduce OHDSI tools and research process to organizations in the Latin America region.

My main question: is anyone else planning to enjoy Sao Paulo at this time? Here’s a link to the conference: http://www.medinfo2015.org/. If so, let me know and we can see if we can nail down an idea of shared interest to submit.

For those who need a little barrier lowering to submit, here is my submission from 2013 (about our CPOE). Feel free to cut and paste so you’ve got a template to start with. Heracles is not ready for the show but I would be happy to help collaborate on writing up a demo of Achilles or other tools we wish to show.

Four of our team members at Ajou University will attend the Medinfo. However I have no idea on the session. We can join if you need it.

There is a good chance I will attend but do not have a mature OMOP project to present.

The deadline for MedInfo panel, demo, and tutorial submissions has been pushed back to January 22nd.

Hooray! More time for OHDSI submissions.
