ICD-10 Screening Encounters Mapping to Measurement Concepts

Hi, all

ICD-10 code Z13.31 (Encounter for screening for depression) is mapped to SNOMED concept 4064377 (Depression screening), which belongs to the Measurement domain.

Similarly, Z12.39 (Encounter for other screening for malignant neoplasm of breast) is mapped to SNOMED concept 4147961 (Screening for malignant neoplasm of breast), which is also in the Measurement domain.

Could you clarify the rationale for mapping these screening encounter codes to concepts in the Measurement domain?

This is a Domain assignment issue in SNOMED. If you go up the hierarchy you will end up with Screening for disorder, which is still a Measurement, but its two parents are Procedure with a clinical finding focus and Screening procedure, which both are procedures.

So, needs to be fixed.
