Hi all,
DARWIN EU is one of the largest and most impactful European initiatives applying the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) to unlock the value of healthcare data across countries. This work directly supports the EMA–HMA Data and AI workplan, which aims to improve access to data and
evidence generation, and to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI)
for the benefit of public and animal health in the European
Union (EU). In this spirit, I’m excited to share details of an upcoming workshop that will explore how these efforts are coming to life:
We are pleased to inform you that the 6th HMA-EMA annual multistakeholder data forum will take place on 9 December 2025.
This event - coordinated by the Network Data Steering Group – offers a valuable opportunity to engage with regulators and stakeholders from across the EU network, sharing progress updates and insights on data related activities. More information is available on the event page.
To make the agenda as relevant and engaging as possible, we invite you to contribute your ideas and suggestions for discussion topics.
How you can contribute:
- Share topics or questions you would like to see addressed
- Suggest speakers or facilitators
- Highlight any developments or initiatives worth showcasing
Please send your input by 30 August 2025 to the NDSG secretariat at ndsg@ema.europa.eu
We will follow up in the autumn with more details, including the event programme and registration information, which will be shared via updates to the event page.
We look forward to receiving your feedback.
With kind regards,
On behalf of Karl Broich & Peter Arlett, co-chairs of the HMA/EMA Network Data Steering Group
