Oftentimes I want to use OHDSI logos (e.g. the Usagi logo) on a presentation. I go out hunting for them on web search engines and make do with what I can find.
My questions are:
a. Are there pre-established rules/licensing details regarding the use of OHDSI’s visual identity? Do I have to stop using the Usagi logo on a Powerpoint at work or at a conference?
b. If no problem, it would be great to be able to download high-resolution or vectorial versions of those things, with the proper quality and transparent parts of the image. Is there such a repository?
Hi. We need a more complete policy, but for presenting OHDSI activities, it is okay to use the logos in your presentations. I don’t have a Usagi logo, but good idea for us to create a repository.
I’ve created the VisualIdentity repo and have uploaded everything I have. I created the rabbit logos in Photoshop (sorry). Perhaps someone else could convert them to nice vector formats?
@hripcsa : Perhaps once we have a policy we could put that in the repo README?
Thanks @fabkury for raising this, and @schuemie for creating a location for this content and uploading our current materials. @CraigSachson should be able help with maintainence moving forward.
Per @hripcsa 's point, I’ll add this to the OHDSI Steering WG agenda today so that we can align on a brief policy statement to include in the README
Thank you for the amazing help!
I am glad I can continue to use one of OHDSI’s… rabbits Thanks, @schuemie. The PNGs in the repository are high-res enough for any casual need.
Kind regards.
