The HADES workgroup is responsible for maintaining and developing HADES (Health Analytics Data-to-Evidence Suite), a set of open source R packages for large scale analytics, including population characterization, population-level causal effect estimation, and patient-level prediction (previously known as the Methods Library).
HADES has worked in the shadows in the past, but with more people working on HADES packages it is time to have regular meetings. HADES will meet once a month, on the third Thursday of the month at noon ET. Details of the next upcoming meeting (Oct 15) can be found here. (The meeting URL will be added later, as we may start using MS Teams for all OHDSI workgroup meetings).
HADES meetings are open to all, but are specifically aimed at HADES package developers. Some of the topics we’ll likely discuss in the coming meetings:
- Branching strategies
- Deployment strategies: CRAN, install_github, drat?
- Which database platforms to support
- Development coordination: roadmap, joint issue tracker?
- Integration with ATLAS and ARACHNE
