We recently ran across the following HCPCS code for provision of developmental screening/guidance to children:

I was surprised that the associated domain was “Device” and not “Procedure”, by analogy to other E&M codes. I’d think of this more as a record in procedure_occurrence than device_exposure. Is this a glitch in the assignment process, or a general plan to treat screening guidelines/instruments as devices?
