DMARDs drugs

Good Morning everyone,

I have a dataset regarding the psoriatic arthritis and I have to categorize the drugs In DMARDs categories. But it is unclear which Concept id should be used for DMARD. Is anyone faced the same problem to guide me?

We use ATC for drug categories, but they don’t have DMARDs. Instead, they put these into the categories SPECIFIC ANTIRHEUMATIC AGENTS, IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS, ANTIMALARIALS, ANTIMETABOLITES, etc.

Why do you need them in one category?

I have a category, csDMARD, which includes multiple ATC codes. How should I represent this in OMOP? Specifically, how can I store information in OMOP to indicate that five drugs with different ATC codes, for example, belong to this category?
In OMOP, I am trying to categorize these drugs in the drug exposure table and store information that links each drug to its respective category. For analysis, the analysts are primarily concerned with the drug categories rather than the individual ingredients.

As a phenotype or cohort definition. That’s the instrument researchers have to match the actual (real-world) data to the subjects of their research. While the data contain the facts, with the fact being that a patient is treated with a drug, not with a drug class.
