Description for concept_id=45769993

Hello,

Could someone please clarify the description for concept_id=45769993 ? The description I see in my CONCEPT table is “Born in ?land Islands”. Could it be “Born in Aland Islands” and somehow the string was not translated properly during the load?

Also has ?land Islands, so what you are seeing could be an issue in the raw vocabulary files.

Yes, it’s Åland Islands, a tiny rainy rock in the Baltic Sea with 30,000 Swedish-speaking Finns.

@Vimala_Jacobs: You have a knack for those, it seems. This one is even more absurd than the ones in the South Pacific, since it is hard to believe you got anybody from that place in your Australian EMR. What’s happening? :smile:

But thanks for pointing it out. We have a script that turns all these accented and umlauted vowels into their standard Latin counterparts (like Å into A), but for some reason it missed this one. Will get it fixed.

BTW: These “Born in…” Concepts are all from SNOMED UK. If you have a use case (looks like you do), and the Australian SNOMED has those Nuie islands, let us know and we add them in.
