Consequences of addition or deletion of patients on Atlas cohorts

What consequences do changes in patient data (addition/deletion) or patients (merging/splitting) have on the existing ATLAS cohorts ?

Is there any web site link to an Atlas documentation describing which tables are involved when creating a cohort on ATLAS (e.g. which roles have omop_results.cohort, omop_results.cohort_cache, omop_webapi.cohort_definition, etc.).

How may we handle existing cohorts when changes occur on patient data ? How does ATLAS cache work (e.g. which tables are used to calculate the amount of patients from a cohort and how to update this indicator when a change occurs) ?
