Cohort definition and a problem in cohort pathway

Dear,

I have learned from the tutorial how to create cohort definitions to perform cohort pathway. From tutorial, if I want to make a diabetes treatment pathway so I should create cohort entry event = all of T2DM medication and put inclusion criteria = type 2 DM occurrence before the index date.

  1. Can we create a cohort definition with cohort entry event = type 2 DM occurrence and put inclusion criteria = all T2DM medication after the index date?
  2. I have a problem with cohort pathway results:
    Target Cohort
    (T2DM) A user of the T2DM drug who has a prior diagnosis of T2DM
    Target cohort count: 59,484 (I used cohort entry event = all of T2DM medication and put inclusion criteria = type 2 DM occurrence before the index date)
    Persons with pathways count: 50,204
    Persons with pathways portion: 84.4%
    What is the pathway portion not 100%?
