On Dec. 16, 2013, George Hripcsak led the official formation of the OHDSI community. Within a month, the first face-to-face meeting was held within the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University (see top photo above). How did we get from there to a global community of more than 3,800 collaborators?
