[cdm_cms_mdcr_synpuf] amia 2015

@Mark_Danese I think this is mostly for you . . .

But I’ll tag everyone else:
@rkboyce, @Frank, @jenniferduryea, @aguynamedryan, @lee_evans, Michelle Gleeson, Marc Halperin, @amatcho, and @donohara

On the OHDSI call today, we were talking about who was submitting to AMIA 2015. @Mark_Danese maybe were you already speaking about this? But we might want to spend a few minutes on next call thinking about if we will have anything to discuss. Maybe even the process of performing the Rabbit In a Hat is good enough.

Submissions are due March 12:

Thanks Erica. I was on the call for about 15 min today but had some schedule conflicts. And I didn’t have any great ideas. I wasn’t sure if AMIA was a good choice for this work, but we could try and brainstorm on Tuesday, or on this thread as people get ideas. A simple abstract idea is to describe and provide code to achieve a framework for a research laboratory using Medicare data – conversion to CDM and all of the downstream benefits. Basically what our workgroup is doing.

We are planning to submit something on our Jigsaw study builder, and I know Patrick was talking about demoing the entire OHDSI stack. So, a “basic” Medicare research lab is the kind of thing that could be cited by lots of other people. You know, one of those basic papers/abstracts everyone cites as they try to show off the “innovative” analytical stuff.
