The CBER BEST Seminar Series hosted by the OHDSI Team at Northeastern’s Roux Institute will have Dr. Marc Lipsitch on October 19, 2022, 11:00-12:00 PM ET. He will discuss the “Everything keeps changing: What COVID-19 has taught us about surveillance.” Dr Lipsitch will discuss lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic about the need to define multiple public health purposes for surveillance, break down the surveillance-research barrier by expanding the targets of surveillance, establish effective systems to measure fundamental disease quantities continuously, and tailor these systems to their intended uses.
