Categorizing disease severity via SNOMED (CAESAR?)

Does anyone know of a classification system for all SNOMED codes by phenotype severity? (e.g., an MI would be severe while a sore throat would be mild). I saw the paper Mary Boland and other OHDSI collaborators did creating the CAESAR framework (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4386082/), and is exactly the thing I’m looking for. But I can’t find the list of SNOMEDs and their classifications that could be used in research, and the links from the website provided in that paper are all dead.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

All of the CAESAR files are obtainable here:
https://figshare.com/authors/Mary_Regina_Boland/683018

For some reason the older figshare links don’t work in the paper. We only performed CAESAR on common conditions. Therefore, a CAESAR score is not provided for all possible SNOMED codes - also not all SNOMED codes are used in most medical centers.

Hope that helps!

Best,
~Mary Regina

Thanks for the quick response! This is great.

Dave
