Hi everyone,
Currently in the process of defining target cohorts for my characterization study.
I need to define two different patient populations being inpatients and outpatients.
The approach I have taken in making the definitions for these are as follows:

Inpatient Cohort [Concept Set Here] - I selected the overarching concept, Inpatient Visit, and included their descendants as it subsumed the other inpatient codes.

Outpatient Cohort [Concept Set Here] - I selected the overarching concept, Outpatient Visit, and included its descendants as it subsumed the other outpatient codes.
In this approach, am I not considering some crucial aspects of these cohorts in my definitions?
