Social media data in the OMOP CDM?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone considered incorporating social media data into the OMOP CDM? I saw this notice from the FDA on mining social media for adverse event surveillance:

I imagine that social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook each has their own data models.

This topic might be a good for the annotation thread that has recently come up. i.e., you may not have per person social media data but there may be trends in social media occurring over periods of time or in regards to a given set of concepts etc. That would be a great use case for annotation.

Annotations in the CDM

Hi everybody, This may be a topic for the CDM WG but I'd like to get a discussion rolling about "Annotation" in the CDM.
