All the Heracles code is committed to master, and all the WebAPI changes are in a branch. The work is very much still in progress, but available for preview. @Frank I can check out MireDot and see what it generates for us.

Hi Heracles Enthusiasts,

I will be on vacation and will be canceling tomorrow’s conference call. Work this week includes visualizations and working through Heracles-related WebAPI issues being discussed (such as temp tables, schema names, and persistence). I imagine the latter items will be addressed on Thursday’s architecture call. Please post any new questions to the Forums.

See you next week,

Jon

@cahilton, would you have time to speak with me directly on the implementation strategy for cohort definition persistence? This is something that overlaps both Heracles and Circe, so I wanted to sync up. I also thought maybe if we made an empty pull request in a new branch that we could both commit to that would be a way of coordinating our efforts.

-Chris

Sure. We can sync up sometime. My machine is being migrated to our new network today. Tomorrow might be better.

An open branch is fine with me. There are some cohort definition selects that I already have in there. For the short term, that’s all I need, but I’m sure we need to do more coordination moving forward.

Hi HERACLES afficionados,

We look forward to seeing you at tomorrow’s meeting at 10am. We will be discussing updates and resolving issues related to both the back-end and front-end.

  1. Finalize plan regarding temporary tables

  2. Discuss cohort definition persistence

  3. Visualizations / visualization library

  4. Discuss Heracles Runner to Heracles Viewer transition (touching on Jobs UI)

Hi all,

Can you believe it’s been a whole week our last HERACLES meeting? I suspect yes. But nonetheless, it will be an action-packed agenda tomorrow.

  1. Heracles front-end visualizations and navigation

  2. Heracles Analysis-Packs

  3. Applying cohort period limits to standard queries (i.e., non-cohort queries) – UI strategy

  4. OLYMPUS - update on the runnable OHDSI ecosystem

  5. Jobs Mgmt UI - Spring Batch vs Simple Common UI vs Application Specific UI

See you all tomorrow.

I’m being nosey, what do you mean by “cohort period limits”.

Haha that’s giving erica what she wants:)

Yes, this was inspired by @ericaVoss (via Patrick). Having the option to look only at the cohort start to end dates for ACHILLES-esque summary statistics. Just want to plan out the UI for it and introduce the team to the concept.

Friends.

We need to give these Greek mythology figures a visual image. I actually mean it only half as a joke. It’s important for branding. Maybe we get somebody to make a caricature, so we don’t have to violate copyright laws.

Something like this:

Circe:

Heracles:

Hermes:

Hi all,

To be consistent with other WGs and to ensure productive feedback / iteration cycles, we will be shifting Heracles to a biweekly schedule. Thus we will not be meeting tomorrow. However, we are planning to release Heracles on April 30th and would appreciate your participation in the upcoming meetings.

If anyone out there is currently running WebAPI applications (e.g., CIRCE, HERMES) in their local environments and would be willing to test HERACLES, please let me know! We need your input and testing!

Thanks,

Jon

At tomorrow’s biweekly call, we will be focusing on OLYMPUS, the one-stop-shop for OHDSI web applications. We are less than 2 weeks out from launch and need your input! We will be discussing the UI and walking through configuration, running apps, setting up users (optional), and a few other neat tricks. Here is a preview:

We will be discussing a few new tweaks to Heracles as well but Charity is on vacation this week so Olympus will be the main action.

See you all tomorrow!
