Announcing the Women of OHDSI working group!

I’m excited to introduce the Women of OHDSI working group! (or WoO!)

The group aims to provide a forum for women to share their perspectives, raise concerns, propose ideas on how the OHDSI community can support women and ultimately inspire women to become leaders within the community.

We will meet once a month, starting later this month. Meetings will primarily consist of group discussions focused on challenges women in STEM face and presentations from female role models who will be invited to share their experiences with the group.

More details about the group will be posted here:

If you would like to join the group, please let me know by replying to this thread or emailing me at beaton@ohdsi.org

Cool initiative!

hi Maura,

I am Priya Desai, the Product Manager at the Research Information Technology group at the School of Medicine at Stanford. We are in the process of converting all our Clinical data into OMOP.

I would love to join the Women of OHDSI Working group. I plan to attend the symposium in September and hope to meet many of you there.

Thanks!
