WebAPI Connectivity to Setting.xml for AD Group Search

I am attempting a modification to the setting.xml file AD properties to connect to a specific AD group when filtering/searching AD access to an Atlas group at the application level.

Is there a solution to address this issue using the attached setting.xml file

Also, Is there any documentation available that can explain how the setting.xml file connect to the WebAPI and/or server components.

Try using the security.ad.searchFilter tag instead?
