I will be working on multiple items:
a) making a link to survey results and making them more interpretable
b) doing next survey by 1/1
c) soliciting survey questions
d) arranging the demos-with-WG-meeting
e) setting up time for the SQL-SQLRender-merging question/topic we could not get to today
f) ensuring we can get the Achilles merge/CASTING question a forum to be worked out in
g) getting Derek Kane to do a video of the reference architecture
h) finding sustainable low-time investment way for me to get these Webex recordings posted or otherwise get meetings recorded, right now this is the most time-sink thing for me of all these

Update on demo’s as of Jan 27, 2016. Happy holidays!

Here is our current line-up of demo’s (or PPT presentations) of what some of you have done with OHDSI/OMOP on Apache big data projects (like Hadoop) already.

I am humbled by the fact that people responded so quickly,
so willing to share!

So yes, we have an open spot on Jan 20. Even a bit of code or a PPT with some screenshot, doesn’t need to be amazing, with so many other people presenting I am hoping for someone to jump in for the Jan 20 slot.

Please recall that our meetings are every other Friday at the info below (which is also on the Wiki for Hadoop WG). I am going to try again to figure out how to record these (due to some friendly nudging by Dr @jon_duke ).

Happy New Year!! Yes I will post this on the forum! For those who like a ‘push’
model of info rather than pull … we have a full roster of ‘demo’s or ‘presentations’
for Hadoop as platform for OMOP!! Here is our current line-up of demo’s (or PPT

Reminder: tomorrow, Jan 6 of 2017, @jenniferduryea will be showing some slides or a demo on the Outcomes Insight’s software called Jigsaw which leverages OHDSI OMOP CDM. Prospective agenda below, please give feedback on agenda if desired.

  1. Roll call and intro of new members (5 mins)
  2. Old business (10 mins hopefully, including a) testing b) SQLRender 2.0, c) other new tech requests)
  3. Outcomes Insights ‘Jigsaw’ - 30 minutes
  4. Q&A on Jigsaw - 10 mins
  5. Final thoughts and call outs from members - 5 mins
    This will be recorded and now I have a process to get it available as mp4.

Reminder:

People,Just a reminder on tomorrow’s every-two-week’s call we will have Shamim ‘Sam’ Habib and one other Knowledgent person demo’ing their real world evidence ‘cartridge’ which is like a solution or
accelerator. Maybe screen shots in slides or a live demo, I have not found out yet. Will be recorded and the Outcomes Insights demo of Jigsaw is recorded and available (see the wiki page). Hope to see you then. Info on logging in tomorrow is on the wiki and in the forum in this thread.

Found out the Knowledgent guys doing a demonstration/presentation of their RWE solution today on the Hadoop Working Group call won’t be starting until half way through (8:30am PST/11:30am EST) rather than 15 minutes in. So if you are coming just for the demo, no need to come right when the call kicks off. Thanks.

In the new agenda, Corina Bennett who was on for this Friday will actually be speaking/presenting later on (perhaps March). So for this week, we will be working - at the request of wider OHDSI sort of - plans/goals/hopes for 2017 for this group. I am aspiring to send out a surveymonkey before Friday, but if you could be thinking of what you want out of the group this year, and come willing to share on that topic, it would be super.
