OHDSI / OMOP Vendors Board at Symposium

Hi all,

We are making a board available at the OHDSI Symposium to highlight the OHDSI / OMOP vendor ecosystem. If you have a company that is using the OMOP CDM or OHDSI tools and would like to highlight your work to participants at the symposium, please let us know by October 9th.

Thanks!

Jon

Jon:

Define “have”. Do I own one, do I work in one, do I know of one? Who is “all” in “Hi all”? You are being cryptic. J

Good point!

All would be everybody reading this.

For this board, “having” a company would be folks with businesses focused on doing OMOP ETLs, for-hire analytics, CDM based IT infrastructures, etc. The goal is to reflect the vendor ecosystem emerging from the OHDSI community.

No formal rules on size, but I’d say if you can afford a top floor booth at HIMSS, you’re probably not the target audience.

Well, I’d have to report IMS Health, my employer. We have data (lots of data all over the world) in OMOP CDM (end of 2016 about 20 databases), building a suite of tools called E360 covering Commercial, HEOR, Epi and Safety, and provide services.

I think this is a great idea Jon to showcase the commercial ecosystem that
is building organically around the OHDSI community.

At the OHDSI Symposium Oct 20, we’ll have a poster board to showcase any
organizations who are developing products or services built off the OMOP
CDM or OHDSI toolkit. Each organization who’s interested should contact
Maura Beaton (beaton @ ohdsi.org). Then, she can help with hanging a
brochure or 8.5x11 infosheet about your organization on the board. The
posterboard will kill 2 birds with 1 stone: allow groups to raise
awareness about their OHDSI products/services, but also serve as a focal
point and meetup location for like-minded enterpreneur-types who see the
opportunities for models of benefiting and contributing within our
open-source community.

@jon_duke Thanks for this idea.

“please let us know by October 9” – do you want a response in this thread, or an email, or something else?

@Mark_Danese and all others interested: If you’d like to highlight your organization, please contact @MauraBeaton by Oct 9. We’ll then need you to share your materials (brochure or 8.5x11 flyer) with @MauraBeaton by Oct15 so that she can review the material to ensure it is appropriate for presentation and then collate all submissions to prepare the board.

@jon_duke, @Patrick_Ryan, Thanks for making this vendor board possible! We at Signet Accel are very excited to be able to participate in the symposium and showcase our healthcare data integration platform, which uses an ETL process to convert disparate data sources into the OMOP v5 CDM. Our platform also incorporates the OHDSI toolkit to enhance the effectiveness for the clinician and the researcher. We are looking forward to the symposium and the opportunity to interact with the OHDSI community!

Hello Jon,

Do you want to create a wall which shows the vendor ecosystem around OHDSI, or is it meant to be a more interactive session where the posters are used to present company services?

Sadly it looks like we will not be able to make it to the meeting because we have a conflicting meeting around another open source product that we support at exactly the same date. However, we could of course submit a poster, if that makes sense at all when we are not there to present it…

Greetings,

Kees van Bochove, The Hyve

@keesvanbochove: Please send your flyer for approval to @MauraBeaton, and if approved, we can hang it for you.

Just to clarify:

  • All vendor posters need to be sent to me (beaton@ohdsi.org) by 5pm ET today for review.
  • All presenters are responsible for bringing their own posters.
  • All vendor posters must be 8.5in X 11in
