Maura,
I just joined this group last week and created a brief introduction on the forum. In the introduction I mentioned that I am focused on a global benchmarking initiative for patient outcomes (patient reported). I am new to OHDSI and the OMOP data model so I am looking for advice on how best to implement in my scenario. What is the best way to interact with this group?

Thanks,
Colin

Hello @AcneBob,
Thanks for your presentation and we’re very excited to participate. I’ve created a rough cohort definition based on your protocol and presentation. You can review it here:
http://www.ohdsi.org/web/atlas/#/cohortdefinition/9558

We will need you to work out the details of defining the exposure and diagnosis codes and time windows, but using this as a start we can say that we are feasible to participate in this study using CPRD (UK), JMDC (Japan), Optum (US), Truven CCAE (US) and Truven Medicaid (US).

Hopefully others could copy this definition from ohdsi.org into their local CDM environments and tell us if it is feasible in their environments as well.

Thanks @Chris_Knoll!
@schillil and I are updating the protocol now and will let the community know when we’re done. We’ll be adding macrolides too and would like to learn how to use the concept set builder. That’s a great set of db with which to start. Shall we contact you when we’re ready for the next step?

Of course. You can also start a new thread to discuss this specific project if you like. That way we don’t attach ourselves to this thread.

yes, we’ve started that thread already and will use for the rest of this project.
