It is gratifying to see that study reproducibility is front and center in two of the NIH’s four strategic objectives for the coming 5 years.
OHDSI is well positioned to serve as a leader and an example as this core value goes from nice-to-have to essential part of funded scientific endeavors in the US.
I love this prediction on the last page:
NIH-supported clinical trials will show that at least a half-dozen
interventions thought to be clinically beneficial actually have no value.
we could prioritize what those trials might be based on observational
studies!
