Hi everyone! In custom mapping, we recently were faced with a situation where source concepts representing Radiation procedures necessarily have to belong to the Procedure domain. And the challenge is that we have found perfect Standard targets in the APC vocabulary, however, all of them are of the erroneous domain of “Observation”. Please, see the example below.
We understand that APC is rare in patient data (thus, nobody cares :)), however, the vocabulary team
proposes to use such existing and well-formulated concepts as a basis for the Hierarchy of Radiation procedures in OMOP. We would like to change their domain to ‘Procedure’ and build a hierarchical crosswalk to SNOMED. Also, it would be great to include CPT4 and HCPCS into this potential family, but that іs another story
