Good morning everyone!
For those of you who are able to join Tuesday’s community meeting, you’re in for a treat! We’ll be having a discussion on “gold standard” patients. @jon_duke will kick off the conversation by setting up the problem and asking the group these 3 questions:
- How should we handle patients who appear in a database for one doctors visit and are never diagnosed with anything, or seen again?
- Should we develop criteria for ‘gold standard’ patients?
- Should this be something we tackle during ETL, or at the analysis stage?
@Vojtech_Huser will also give us a short presentation on his previous work using an average patient record archetype concept to compare five big data healthcare datasets.
It should be a great discussion, so I hope you all can join in!
Cheers,
Maura
