Architecture Working Group 2016 Goals

On today’s Open Source Architecture Working Group call we discussed our goals for 2016. The following list contains our current list of possible goals. Community feedback and prioritization is welcome.

  • Integration between R methods and web infrastructure
  • Tighter integration of web tools (ATLAS)
  • Improved installation/deployment experience (Docker - Broadsea)
  • New features for cohort clustering and profile analysis
  • Establish a shared component library for OHDSI independent of individual applications
  • Develop a Concept Set Browser Component(multi-site)
  • Develop a Concept Set Editor Component(including all tabs)
  • Create a Project / Project Asset relationship in the OHDSI database schema to associate Concept Sets, Cohort Definitions, etc… (Project level actions, regenerate all cohorts)
  • Versioning (potentially something that is enabled/disabled)
  • Adding a property to json serialization to indicate a version
  • Allow saving of multiple versions of concept sets, cohort definitions (need deep dive on impact/tracking with cohort generation)
  • Security (shiro) (flexible authentication mechanisms)
  • Network based studies (across sites) (result sharing in addition to definition sharing)
  • Improve Documentation - Developer and User Guides
  • Prototyping tool (InVision)
  • Release Schedule - Version Guidelines (Stable vs Snapshots)
  • ATLAS support for Firefox

Awesome. I would really love to be part of this WG. I will shoot you a PM to make sure that is ok.

What is the issue with ATLAS for firefox?

We’ve had reports of some javascript errors that occur in Firefox, in particular one with filtering search results.

Sounds like a great set of goals Frank! I will try my best to help by
contributing code, issues, documentation as we make progress on LAERTES
and a decision support project I am working on. Please let me know of
specific requests that you think I can help with.

thanks,
-R
