@Ajit_Londhe, currently such concepts are mapped in a way as @Anna_Ostropolets describedstrong text. This totally corresponds to the mapping rules:
Late effects or sequelae of other conditions. If possible, these are mapped to single concepts describing them as such late effects. For example, ICD10CM S82.874S concept_id 45589204 “Nondisplaced pilon fracture of right tibia, sequela” is mapped to 197150 “Late effect of fracture of lower extremities”. The Domain is Condition.
But this is a time of change. And it is evident that mapping of all XS-codes should be improved. The main problem that ICD-10-CM is much more granular rather than SNOMED CT. It is impossible to map a lot of those codes to equivalent SNOMED concepts because they do not exist. And the best solution to the problem is implementing of the SNOMED Extension. However, until it exists, we may enhance the mapping detailing via multiple “Maps to” relationships. Examples of possible changes:
T82.42XS Displacement of vascular dialysis catheter, sequela
Maps to 4070976 17778006 Mechanical complication of dialysis catheter
AND
Maps to 434814 269191009 Late effect of medical and surgical care complication
T82.43XS Leakage of vascular dialysis catheter, sequela
Maps to 4070976 17778006 Mechanical complication of dialysis catheter
AND
Maps to 434814 269191009 Late effect of medical and surgical care complication
T82.49XS Other complication of vascular dialysis catheter, sequela
Maps to 4070976 17778006 Mechanical complication of dialysis catheter
AND
Maps to 434814 269191009 Late effect of medical and surgical care complication
As you see, we may highlight the general idea of dialysis catheter complication, but not a proper problem as Leakage or Displacement. If this suits your purpose, as Anna said, you may open Github issue and share a concept set of ICD-10-CM sequela-related codes with their frequency of occurrence (counts) in your data. And we will fix them.
