Using ATLAS to Identify a list of drug-event pairs that are potential negative and positive controls

I saw a demo at the OHDSI 2016 conference on how ATLAS was used to assist in identifying a list of drug-event pairs that are potential negative and positive controls. Would you be able to provide me with step-by-step instructions on how to obtain a list of drug-event pairs that are potential negative as well as positive controls using the ATLAS software? Please also describe the issue of descendants and how to address it.Thanks.

Hi there - I will be posting this information to the Atlas user guide over the next few weeks. In the meantime, this functionality is live on OHDSI.org. Here is a specific example from my demonstration that you can review by clicking on the “Explore Evidence” tab:

I’ll update this forum post once I’ve added the detailed instructions to the Atlas user guide.

Apologies - the link the previous post was incorrect - please use this one instead:

(Edited post) @anthonysena - We had a lengthy discussion about this yesterday on the PV Evidence Investigation WG call. We should work together to post instructions up on how you go this to work in Atlas. The key things are to indicate which LAERTES-related tables are necessary for Atlas to run Explore Evidence. It looks like it would be the primary drug-HOI evidence tables loaded with this script and the additional tables for drug and condition universe and Betas loaded by the Category 2 scripts (see README) in this folder. Thanks! -Rich
