Tracking patient treatments

I am trying to figure out the best way to store treatment data within the current OMOP structures (if that is possible). I want to collect data for patients receiving different cancer treatments. Treatments including surgery but also chemo therapy, radiation therapy, immuno therapy, etc. It is reasonable to assume that the surgery details can be stored in the PROCEDURE_OCCURRENCE table but for the other treatments which span a period of time and are also dealing with different concepts from drugs to exposure to radiation (explicitly excluded from DRUG EXPOSURE table) I don’t see a natural place to store this data. I need to be able to store attributes such as start and end dates, any complications, termination reason (if any) and a host of other “observations” related to the specific treatment.

Is there a case to have a TREATMENT domain or is there any recommendations on how to store this data and link it to a specific treatment regime?

The Oncology Workgroup is working on a TREATMENT proposal right now. Here is the proposal:
https://github.com/OHDSI/CommonDataModel/issues/163.

We are looking for people to help vet the proposal with real data and give feedback on the vocabulary elements.
