The new Working Group for Hadoop

@shawndolley I’m interested in joining the group and the call tomorrow. Is there a specific place I will need to call in?

Hi Urvi, so great you may join us. Instructions to join are here:

Reminder:

People,Just a reminder on tomorrow’s every-two-week’s call we will have Shamim ‘Sam’ Habib and one other Knowledgent person demo’ing their real world evidence ‘cartridge’ which is like a solution or
accelerator. Maybe screen shots in slides or a live demo, I have not found out yet. Will be recorded and the Outcomes Insights demo of Jigsaw is recorded and available (see the wiki page). Hope to see you then. Info on logging in tomorrow is on the wiki and in the forum in this thread.

Found out the Knowledgent guys doing a demonstration/presentation of their RWE solution today on the Hadoop Working Group call won’t be starting until half way through (8:30am PST/11:30am EST) rather than 15 minutes in. So if you are coming just for the demo, no need to come right when the call kicks off. Thanks.

Was the Hadoop Working Group meeting with the Knowledgent presentation recorded? If so where can one find it?

Hey folks, a couple people have pinged me on this. I will make best attempt at getting the meeting video (including Knowledgent demo) up by midnight eastern today 1/24. Thanks for your patience.

Dear Don,
It’s up on Youtube now:

Folks,
The Knowledgent demo of their Real World Evidence software solution/solution accelerator is now up on Youtube. The link is:

A bit after halfway through this video is when Ari from Knowledgent comes on and does the demo.

Thanks
Shawn

Hey folks, slight change of schedule. Original and new content schedules below for the ‘every 2 week’ Friday Hadoop/Big Data calls:
Original:
Jan 6 – Jennifer Duryea from Outcomes Insights showing their
product called Jigsaw

Jan 20 – Shamim ‘Sam’ Habib from Knowledgent showing their
Real World Evidence Cartridge

Feb 3 – Corina Bennett, Amgen

Feb 17 – Mui Van Zandt, QuintilesIMS

In the new agenda, Corina Bennett who was on for this Friday will actually be speaking/presenting later on (perhaps March). So for this week, we will be working - at the request of wider OHDSI sort of - plans/goals/hopes for 2017 for this group. I am aspiring to send out a surveymonkey before Friday, but if you could be thinking of what you want out of the group this year, and come willing to share on that topic, it would be super.

Hi people. Latest: the Quintiles IMS presentation slides from the Feb 17 meeting are now posted to the Wiki working group page. I have updated the Member list to be ‘Active Members’. Next meeting scheduled for March 3. We don’t have a presentation scheduled, so if you want a time in the spotlight, let me know at sdolley at cloudera dot com.

Quintiles IMS presentation now on Youtube at: https://youtu.be/QNvi-wmc8IM

Here is the link to the GT presentation on using Hadoop for our Analytics Platform from the OHDSI Face to Face. Thanks.

Dear Shawn ,

@shawndolley , Thanks for your detail introduction.
Could you please add me in to the working group as well?

Bests,
Yu Jing (yujing5b5d#gmail.com)

Hi Jason - I’d be interested in viewing your presentation, however the link is not working. Let me know if there is a new link. Thanks, Corina

Hey all, the conference call for this Friday, 6-23-17, is cancelled due to proximity to our OHDSI Hadoop Summit & Hackathon on 6-28 and 6-29. There are still spaces, so please register and join over 50 attendees in Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia) Pennsylvania, USA. The link for information and to register is on the lower part of the ohdsi.org home page.

People, the Hadoop Working Group meeting log is now posted in the page http://www.ohdsi.org/web/wiki/doku.php?id=projects:workgroups:hadoopwgmeetingloglandingpage or go to OHDSI wiki, and choose Working Groups on the left, then find Hadoop Working Group. Then click on the link in that page of Demos, Logs other Documents. Then on that page (which is the URL above) scroll down to find the list of meeting logs in non-recorded meetings. Hope every had/is having a great holiday week.

Hi Liudmila, Is it possible to share ne04j code for CDM in github? I am new to both OMOP CDM and Neo4J want to see sample on how it was done.

Thanks
