My team is currently working on a conversion with Read Codes in the data. We have found all race concepts have been deprecated and we are not able to populate this field in the person table as a result. Will this be updated in the near future?
Race concepts aren’t deprecated, but SNOMED concepts that used to have mappings from Read codes are non-standard now. And to define a Race, you need to use “Race” vocabulary instead.
This way during the ETL process those mappings to “Race” vocabulary should be done manually
Thanks, Dmytry. We will do mapping manually. Will this be updated in the future or will the mapping always need to be done manually?
We need to add this mapping to vocabulary. So in the future there will be no problems
