(Jessica Mounessa) #1

Hello OHDSI Community!

We are delighted to announce the official start of our study investigating clinician compliance with guidelines for antibiotic use in acne patients. See full details on the wiki: http://www.ohdsi.org/web/wiki/doku.php?id=research:concordance_with_aad_guidelines_for_the_treatment_of_acne_vulgaris

We would be pleased for you to join us! Please feel free to respond to this thread should you have any questions.

Thanks,

Stephanie, Renee, Robert, Lisa, and Jessica

I’m very excited to see you initiate this study! Let us know how you want to move forward. Might I suggest you start drafting a protocol?

Happy to help where I can!

(Renee Domozych) #3

Hi Martijn,

Thank you for your reply and your interest in collaborating! We have posted the full protocol on our wiki page. Please let us know if you have other suggestions. We are very excited to move forward!

Dear OHDIS collaborators,
We would like to formally invite any interested site to join our study examining oral
antibiotic therapy of acne around the world. The protocol has been updated and a link to the protocol is here:
http://www.ohdsi.org/web/wiki/doku.php?id=research:concordance_with_aad_guidelines_for_the_treatment_of_acne_vulgaris

We currently have several of the major OHDSI collaborators on board, however since we are attempting a global map of oral antibiotic use for acne we want to include as many collaborators as possible. We will will continue to finalize the protocol based on community input and continued analytic specifications.

We would be happy to answer any questions via forum or direct email).

Just an announcement to the OHDSI community that we have just published our protocol for antibiotic use in acne patients, see: http://www.ohdsi.org/web/wiki/doku.php?id=research:concordance_with_aad_guidelines_for_the_treatment_of_acne_vulgaris.

Our project has now been rebooted and we plan on moving forward with data collection. We would be pleased for you to join us and answer any questions!

Chante

@chantekhani89
Hi, I’m Chan from Ajou university, Korea.

I want to join this study, if I can.
(But I’m not sure that we have enough data for the patients with acne.)

Hello OHDSI community! We are in the process of building our cohort studying antibiotic use for acne and were hoping that you might be able to take a look at the cohort definition (titled “Antibiotics for acne”) and let us know any suggestions for improvement/refinement. As a reminder, our study protocol is stored on the GitHub sandbox (https://github.com/OHDSI/StudyProtocolSandbox/tree/master/Acne%20Antibiotics). Thank you!

Hello, @chantekhani89 I reviewed the protocol, which seems nice.
Will you make this target cohort by using ATLAS?
